Shaked Gozlan

I am an interdisciplinary artist currently practising in Melbourne on unceded Boonwurrung land. My practice is grounded in research and inquiry, engaging with themes of identity, time, intersectionality, and human experience. Informed by lived experience and culture, I use art as an active and reflective language through which to explore relationships, memory, and broader social and political realities.

Working across textiles, painting, printmaking, installation, photography, and video, my practice integrates storytelling, documentation, and self-reflection through material exploration and process. I approach each project interdisciplinarily, allowing the concept and inquiry to guide the materials and forms the work takes.

(heb. to show honour and gratitude)

As an uninvited guest, I would like to acknowledge the custodians of this land on which I live and practise on. I honour the land, waters and spirit and show my gratitude to the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, who have nurtured and lived here for 80,000 years and more to come.

I acknowledge the immeasurable violence and loss at the hands of colonisation. Sovereignty has never been ceded.
